Designer Debbie Maddy has spent many years studying shibori and indigo-dying techniques, and imbued her memories of the sights and sounds of Japan into this stunning collection called Tochi (which means 'land'). This print is called Yama-Sora (mountain-sky).
Note: To make this fabric, traditional Japanese shibori techniques were used (stitching, wrapping, and/or gathering the fabric to create resist dyeing patterns) and then the fabric was reproduced through printing; this is not handmade shibori fabric, though it looks very close!
This fabric is sold in half yard increments: one unit equals one half yard. The fabric will be cut in one continuous piece regardless of how many units you order (i.e. if you order 4 units you will receive a single 2 yard piece).
This is a quilting weight 100% cotton fabric and is 44/45" (110 cm) wide.
